7-Minute Anti-Aging Workout

Want to look or just feel younger?  Thekey to aging gracefully is mindful movement. Movement that connectsbody, mind, emotions and spirit. It doesn’t have to take long to makethose connections – consistency is more important than duration when itcomes to aging with grace.  Of course, regular physicalexercise is recommended, and in addition the following practice whenused daily keeps
  • joints mobile and lubricated for enhanced or maintained range of motion
  • chakras, or energy centers aligned to keep energy flowing through the body
  • attention focused in the body rather than in the head to enhance presence in life
  • emotions flowing rather than blocked, for full processing and release
The 7-Minute Workout consists of the following:
  1. 5 minutes of practicing the Nia 5 Stages of Self-Healing, as explained and demonstrated in the video below, spending 1 minute in each of the 5 Stages.
  2. 1 minute generating movement diversity by going from standing down to the floor and back as many times as possible, seeking variation each time.
  3. 1 minute on the floor laughing to promote healing and lightness, "cooking" each side of the body by laughing for 15 seconds on back, front, and each side.
That's it!  It's easy, transformational, and fun!  I prefer to do my 7 minutes to music, which makes it feel more like a dance.
