It's Your Turn!

As part of Barefoot Challlenge Week, the exciting way to up the ante on your summer, I am turning this blog over to you!  This community wants to hear from you - so tell us,

What Have You Tried or Done Lately and LOVED?

For me, it would have to be a Feldenkrais class.  This movement therapy is one of Nia's 9 Movement Forms and helps re-pattern the brain/body connection for better performance and pain relief.   After my first class I felt more relaxed, present, and at least  2 inches taller.  It's great for arthritis, as well as athletes.  Local practitioner Suellen Bartel teaches classes in Bay City.

Can't wait to hear from YOU!

I am reconnecting with weaving. I took a weaving class many years ago but didn't get the chance to use it much. Now I am relearning it with the goal of slowing down and enjoying each step of the process. It is very relaxing to handle one thread at a time as you prepare the loom. As you weave and establish a rhythm it is like the beating of a drum or your heartbeat ... slow, methodical, mindful. It reminds me of a walking meditation. I am learning to live in the moment and lose myself in this creative and relaxing process.
