Music to MOVE to...Nia R1 Playlist

I spent the weekend dancing in Lansing to learn the new, not-yet-released Nia routine, R1.  This is the first  routine to be released since the retirement of Carlos Rosas, co-creator of Nia.  It is a collaboration between the remaining co-creator, Debbie Rosas Stewart, and several Nia trainers.  I, like others have waited with anticipation to see the "new" face of Nia without Carlos.

I can tell you, if you've been worried, you need not be.  This is the most inspiring, coherent, body of work to date from Nia, in my experience.  It felt very rich and deeply spiritual to me, the "R1" standing for "we all are one," and that sentiment being reflected in the brilliant moves and music.  There are many moments in the routine that give me chills and the music lingers in my head and heart.  It is truly revolutionary...

I was so inspired by the routine, and Winalee Zeeb, my trainer, that I have stepped completely outside my comfort zone and decided to start teaching it immediately.  I can't wait for the DVD, and to completely embody it.  I feel I need to share it with others ASAP.  It heals me to move it, and I just can't wait. I normally have things very clean before I share, do the workshop to teach the moves, etc., but I have decided to just jump off the cliff on this one....

Here's the amazing music, all of which is available on iTunes, except for "Shine," a special song for Nia that can only be downloaded from the artist's website :
